Anthropomorphism

Bob Seger Stalker Morrow is Alan Michael's and my Black Chinese Pug. His best friend is Rocky which is Mrs. Morrow's Yorkie. They usually only get to see eachother on the weekends due to Alan Michael not being in town throughout the week. But every Friday when they see eachother, they go absolutely crazy and make the best of those weekends.
"Rocky!!" Bob said with excitement. "I've missed you so much!" As he pounced on Rocky.
"Bob get off of me, NOW! You know I hate being pounced on," Rocky said growling.
"Oh yeah, sorry Rock, I forgot. Wanna go outside and run? We can do some exploring," Bob said with a smirk.
Rocky is all about some exploring. So they head outside.
"Faster, faster!" said Bob. Rocky's little legs just couldn't keep up, but that didn't stop him.
It was not until they reached the ledge in the back yard when Bob and Rocky realized how far they had ran.
"Man, we have gone so far! Do you remember the way back?" asked Bob.
Rocky answered in a shakey voice, "Nooo. I wasn't paying attention at all."
All of a sudden Bob pearked up. Rocky was anxiously waiting to hear what Bob had heard. It was me yelling for them.
Bob started in a dead sprint, Rocky right behind him.
"It's Sarah! It's Sarah!" Bob barked.
They topped the hill and sped up when they saw me. When they reached me both of them together about knocked me over with their excitement.
"Oh I missed you so much!!" Bob said with so much of the excitement.
"Ah man I'm never going that far again, that was to much adventure for me." Stated Rocky in a releaved voice.
After our greetings we went inside and took a nap, and when they woke up they were ready for adventure round two.

Book Review of The Call of the Wild.

The book The Call of the Wild the most intriguing book I have read in a while. This book was very interesting to me because I got to see through a sled dogs point of view. This book was one that I just couldn't put down. I think it was because it was about sled dogs and what they really go through everyday. The pain, pride, and determination, all the things that it takes to make an Alpha had me wondering who had it and who didn't throughout the book.
The life lesson of this book in my opinion is always stay strong, never give up on yourself, or others that help you out through life. I say this because Buck should us how strong willed and determined he was when Jack London described the formidable fight between Buck and another dog, Spitz. Buck was so tired but he knew he couldn't give up and give Spitz what he wanted most, to keep his place as Alpha. I loved how Jack London seemed to know exactly what dogs were thinking and that he knew exactly what Buck and the other sled dogs go through. It was like he could read their minds. Jack London's voice within the book is very steady. never to fast, never to slow. He seemed to stay confident about what Buck and the others were going through. I enjoyed every character that was in the book, well mostly. The only one I had a problem with was Spitz, but he had what was coming to him. There was a great combination of dogs, sweet, well natured, rugged, and there was two determined Alphas that seemed to butt heads. I despise Spitz so much because of the way he treated the other dogs. He treated them with disrespect. If a dog is alpha yes he should be strict, but he shouldn't disrespect them just to do it. The setting affected the characters in a bad way. The cold weather made the dogs feet so sore, also they struggled to survive during their journeys because of lack of food. I can compare this to cheer leading. All of us want to be captian, but only one has the leadership to do it, and we all have to fight for our own chance, just like Buck and Spitz had to.
I would recommend this book to any outdoorsy type of person, or someone that seems to be touched by animals going through heck. This book was honestly pretty amazing and I would not mind reading another Jack London book.

Being Human. Essay Summary

Can you imagine being anything but human? Not being able to succeed and go far in life? Well one of the many good things about being human is being able to learn and succeed in life. Being human has so many different meanings to different people. To me, being human means having the ability to think for yourself and also being able to do things that help yourself, and others.
Having the capability to think for oneself means that they’re helping meet the goals in life that they have put forth to accomplish. Doing objectives throughout life on your own enables you to learn new things about yourself and others, along with making decisions to lead you on the right path. Since humans have the advantage to think for themselves, we all have the ability to make ourselves unique. In the book Frankenstein, the monster said "What did this mean? Who was I? What was I? Whence did I come? What was my destination?  These questions continually recurred, but I was unable to solve them." Those are questions that we think about as humans and try finding answers to throughout our lives. We all get to think about the decisions in life and we all make the decision based on how it will help, or even hurt us in the long run. Most animals make superflous decisions that makes them think their higher ranked in their surroundings, also they make decisions based on their instinct, which that instinct is help keep them alive. Now humans make decisions based on life and death also, but we make decisions based on improving our life and future too.
Another idea that separates humans from animals in my mind, is we help ourselves throughout life, and we help others when they feel like they need assistance. When I say helping yourself, I mean being capable of fixing previous mistakes to better ourselves and our lives. Whether it is going and apologizing to someone for making them cry or going back and fixing a mistake on an essay, we are doing it all to make ourselves a better person or we are doing it to help get further in life. Animals do not think about going and fixing something they did wrong. Last time I checked if an animal goes and hurts other animal’s feelings, they don't take the time to feel guilty and apologize. Humans usually fix their mistakes to make themselves a more accomplished person over all.
Now, I understand that some people disagree and they would say that my opinion on being human is way off. Some may say animals do think and they do apologize to better themselves, or even that they help each other out. I believe they do not. I'm sorry but I have never seen a horse kick another horse, and then see it take the other horse hay and kneel to say "I'm sorry."
We all have our own opinions on what it means to be human and they are all important to us. My important opinion on what makes a human, human is how we do things to improve our well-being and our future. Others may think having thumbs, and being able to talk is important. My problem with that though, is what about those that are disabled and cannot move or talk? Does that make them non-human because they are disabled? That is why I chose the overall thinking processes is what it means to be a human. Everyone can think, and everyone can better themselves from thinking.

Titantic/The Call of the Wild.

The cost of life is very important for those that are responsible for it. Everyone is responsible for a life at some point. Whether it is their own, or someone else they are watching over, it happens to the best of us. Now some unresponsible people may be inarticulate to this idea, but most understand. In the Titanic mothers were responsible for their children that they had with them on the boat. Also the fathers were in charge of helping keep their whole families lives safe.
The Call of the Wild has a few more examples of the cost of living. When buck becomes alpha dog and begins to lead the pack, he had to stay positive and strong for his pack. When the going got rough he was there to keep the pack going. Like when Buck and his "family" were sold to Hal, Charles, and Mercedes. He was in charge of keeping the others in line and out of danger, like death. So when they had to pull the extra heavy luggage, when the excess luggage fell Buck tried to show the owners it was to much by running faster and harder. He did that to show them they had expected too much, and he wanted to keep his "family" strong and healthy and he did not want them to push them to hard to where they could not go on.
Have you ever had to watch over family or friends or a pet? Well next time you do I want you to think about how you have a life in your hands and what it would be like if you lost that life while you were watching over that person or thing. How important is a life to you?

Monster vs. Frankenstein

Even though Victor Frankenstein has more prerogative than the monster I believe the monster was more human than Victor Frankenstein because he was very compassionate and he was very determined to learn things about life.
When I say compassionate I mean more caring about other people. Right off the monster was sweet and kind to the little girl and blind man at the little village rather than being like Victor and putting off people (Elizabeth, Henry, and his father) for his studies. Victor was just voracious.
The monster was also very determined to learn. He was determined to learn from scratch. He learned people skills, to talk English and so many other helpful qualities that helped him in life. Now Victor learned but not in the same way. The monster want to learn so he could understand life and the meaning of it, and he learned how to somewhat be like others.
In conclusion these are my opinions of how the monster was more human than Victor Frankenstein.
